The new Canadian federal Wastewater Systems Effluent Regulations (WSER), under the Fisheries Act, came into effect January 1, 2013. At this time, effluent monitoring requirements, record-keeping and reporting requirements – and the provisions allowing for transitional or temporary authorizations to be applied for and issued – are in full force. Other requirements will be phased in over several years. See full story at http://www.ocwa.com/en/node/501
